Original Dolls

The term “original dolls” generally refers to dolls that were actually made by the artist. Many of them are one of a kind, or at least limited edition. Original dolls are often the most unique and valuable dolls you can get.

Many serious doll collectors own at least one original doll. The best place to find these is through doll stores or through the website of the doll designer. Some collectors have a favorite designer that they try to collect all their dolls from, and others try to find dolls that have the same theme and are made by many different designers.

If you search for the term “original dolls,” you will get a lot of results. You will want to check for a guarantee or something that the doll was actually made by the designer though. Some people are trying to use the phrase to sell dolls that are not original.
